Colored condoms that dry outNeedless to say, the penis, just like any other part of the body, is entitled to its share of attention and hygiene.

Indeed, if your penis isn’t well cared for, don’t be surprised to see problems and dysfunction!

Here are a few simple but primary tips to make sure you have a great penis, all the time!

Wash your penis gently with lukewarm water at least once a day. That’s the only way to make sure you don’t get any fungal or other problems.

If you’re not circumcised, you’ll need to loosen your foreskin to clean inside. Naturally, the skin of the penis produces a cheesy substance that acts as a natural lubricant to keep the penis moist. If you forget to clean this substance, which is called smegma… hello bad odor, nasty bacteria and painful unhooding!

Make sure you wash around and below the testicles. The first area can contain a lot of sweat (contact between the roots of the thighs and the testicles), which can be very smelly afterwards, just like the armpits. The hair growing in these areas captures the body’s sweat and encourages the growth of bad bacteria if hygiene is poor.

The second area, below the testicles, is just as much at risk as the first. This is where your penis borders your anus! This area needs to be kept clean and dry, because sweat and excrement don’t mix!

One tip is to get as much air into your genitals as possible by wearing open shorts rather than tight briefs.

Bath duckLukewarm water is generally sufficient. Avoid all forms of deodorant and talcum powder. These can make the situation even worse! If you still insist, use only mild, neutral, fragrance-free soap: otherwise, hello irritation! Remember that good, regular hygiene will do the trick. Also, natural body odors, when your body is in good health, are highly recommended during intimate contact: that’s what turns you on!

Finally, while you’re at it, don’t forget to examine your testicles. Look for pimples, blisters and swelling. If you notice anything abnormal, don’t hesitate to consult your doctor. If your testicles are healthy, your penis will be too!
